Police Dog Bella Demonstrates Drug Find with Odenville Police Chief Glenn Walton | Greater Odenville Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors along with Odenville Police Chief Glenn Walton and Police Dog, Bella, at the September meeting. Bella demonstrated her ability to find narcotics when she is on the job.
Chief Walton was the guest speaker at the September 13 lunch meeting at Christ Church at Branch Cove. Chief explained the value of the department and county to have a trained drug dog as well as the value of each department in the county to have their own drug dog.
At the end of the presentation, Chief and Bella demonstrated Bella's ability to find narcotics.

Chief Glenn Walton
Odenville Police Department
Glenn got involved in law Enforcement in 1990 as a reserve Deputy for Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office and Talladega County Sheriff’s Office. He retired from AT&T Wireless as communication engineer in 2006 after 22 years. During that time he also served in the Army National Guard for 25 years and retired in 2008. Glenn started as a reserve officer with the Odenville Police Department in 2006 and was hired full time three months later. Then in 2016, K-9 Bella and Officer Glenn completed training and became a certified Narcotics Detection Team. In January of 2020, Glenn was promoted thru the ranks to be appointed the Chief of Police.
Glenn's certification and accomplishments are very impressive and include,
- Graduate of the FBI Southeastern Executive Development course
- FBI Firearms Instructor.
- FBI Law Enforcement Management Course.
- Certified SWAT operator and served on the St. Clair County SWAT team for eight years.
- Glenn completed his 40, 80, and 160 hours as as Certified Law Enforcement Executive.
- He is a Member of Alabama Association of Chiefs of Police and the International Associations of Chiefs of Police.
- He received the Alabama Life Saving Award in 2010.
