Speaker Bio:
Dr. Justin D. Burns
Superintendent, St. Clair County Schools
Dr. Justin D. Burns brings more than two decades of experience in education to his role as Superintendent of St. Clair County Schools. A proud graduate of Moody High School and a lifelong resident of St. Clair County, Dr. Burns is deeply committed to the success of the students and families he serves.
Over the course of his 21-year career, he has held various leadership roles within both St. Clair County Schools and Leeds City Schools, demonstrating a steadfast dedication to academic excellence, innovation, and community engagement. He holds an Education Specialist degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and earned his Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Samford University.
Dr. Burns is a devoted family man, married to Brandi Messer Burns, and together they have three sons—Hunter, Evan, and Grant. Faith and community are central to his life, and he is an active member of Bethel Baptist Church.
Guided by his passion for education and a strong sense of service, Dr. Burns is honored to lead the St. Clair County School System with a vision for growth, collaboration, and a brighter future for every student.
