About Our Speaker:

Adam Stocks has owned WFHK 94.1 FM The River since 2000. Prior to buying The River, Adam worked at WJOX Sports Radio in Birmingham as an Executive Producer and talk show host for The Sonny Smith and Wimp Sanderson show. Adam also served in the US Navy from 1990-1996 during Operation Desert Shield/Desert Storm as a Cryptologist.

In 2004 Adam was elected the youngest Mayor of Pell City at the age of 32. While Mayor of Pell City, Adam oversaw a $23 million-dollar annual budget and was directly responsible for creating over 1,400 new jobs through new industry and new retail that resulted in over $230 million dollars of new construction in Pell City from 2004-2008. One of the projects brought in was the Colonel Robert L. Howard Veterans home that houses over 300 veterans and was a $45 million dollar project as well as WKW Erbsloeh….where 800 new jobs were created. WKW Erbsloeh is the largest private employer in St. Clair County.

When Covid hit in 2020 and everything shut down, Adam saw the opportunity to expand his company to include livestreaming. The River now has 30,000 Facebook followers and in 2023 The River had over 2.4 million minutes of videos viewed on Facebook. The River livestreams St. Clair County High School football, Pell City High School football, local Christmas Parades, high school graduations, 4th of July fireworks shows and much more.

Adam was just recently named the new Executive Director of the International Motorsports Hall of Fame located adjacent to the Talladega Superspeedway. At the IMHoF, Adam will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the more than 35,000 sq. ft. museum and 37,000 sq. ft. event facility that sits on 35 acres adjacent to the Talladega Superspeedway.
